Job Title:  Area Sales Manager – Tile Industry

Industry Sector: Tiles, Ceramics, Bathrooms, KBB, Independent Retail Showrooms and Distribution

Area to be covered: North of Manchester (includes whole of Yorkshire)

Remuneration: £40,000-£45,000 Neg. + 1% commission

Benefits: Fully expensed electric or hybrid car & full benefits

The role of the Specification Sales Manager – Tile Industry will involve:

• Field sales position selling a distributed range of ceramic tiles
• Selling into independent tile and bathroom showrooms
• Predominantly an account development role
• Responsible for circa 90-100 active customers and hundreds and passive accounts
• Traditionally the area has been achieving approx. £700,000, currently performing circa 25% down
• Area due to a retirement
• Ultimately the goal will be to grow the area to £1m+
• Utilising your own network of independent tile and/ or bathroom retail showrooms

The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager – Tile Industry with:

• Field sales track record within the associated tile or bathroom industry
• Must have sold into independent retail customers
• Ideally you will have existing relationships within independent retail showrooms on patch
• Proven field sales experience in an associated industry to ceramic tiles, such as flooring, walls, other interior building products etc. may be considered with strong network of customer contacts
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and driven
• Specific knowledge of ceramics is preferred not essential
• Excellent territory planning capability
